About Me

I am a security engineer with a background in Business IT & Management and a strong specialization in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA). My career began with the Traxion Masterclass, an intensive program designed to build deep knowledge of IT security principles, governance models, and identity‑driven architectures. This foundation allowed me to develop a clear understanding of how security supports organizational objectives and how identity plays a central role in modern IT landscapes.

Although my initial ambition was to pursue a business‑oriented career path, I was soon assigned to several technical implementation projects. These assignments exposed me to the practical challenges of integrating systems, designing identity flows, and translating abstract requirements into secure, functioning solutions. I quickly discovered that this technical work energized me far more than expected. The combination of problem‑solving, hands‑on engineering, and the ability to directly influence the security posture of an organization led me to shift my focus toward the technical domain.

Over the years, I have grown into a technical expert who can operate confidently across both strategic and operational levels. I understand the business context behind identity and security initiatives, and I am able to translate those needs into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical implementations. This dual perspective allows me to bridge the gap between stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring that solutions not only work technically but also align with organizational goals.

My strengths include designing identity architectures, integrating complex systems, improving lifecycle processes, and implementing secure authentication and authorization patterns. I bring a structured, analytical approach to my work, combined with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Above all, I aim to deliver solutions that enhance security while enabling the business to operate efficiently and effectively.

Public Sector Organization

IAM Engineer

Augustus 2023- Present

In this role, I supported the technical improvement of the existing IAM tooling within a public sector organization. My focus was on simplifying processes and aligning the platform more closely with standard out-of-the-box functionality, reducing complexity and minimizing customizations. Additionally, I helped prepare the IAM environment for future challenges, ensuring it would be scalable, maintainable, and able to support more complex requirements as the organization evolves. Through this work, I contributed to a more streamlined, robust, and future-ready identity and access management landscape.

National Financial Regulator

IAM Engineer

November 2022 – Present

In this role, I contributed to the improvement and automation of the existing IAM tool within a financial regulatory organization, including managing and streamlining ongoing IAM operations. During the replacement of the IAM tool, I supported the rollout and provided input on functional requirements and process design. I also addressed gaps in reporting and batch functionality by developing custom solutions using scripts, databases, and APIs, ensuring the new platform met operational and compliance requirements. Through this work, I helped enhance the effectiveness, automation, and governance of the organization’s identity and access management environment.

Public Organization

IAM Engineer

May 2019 – November 2022

In this role, I contributed to building a comprehensive identity management solution consisting of a central IAM platform, a custom front-end, and a self-developed API. I supported the integration of multiple systems to enable centralized identity, access management, and governance across the organization. My responsibilities included configuring the IAM tool, developing and maintaining the API, and ensuring seamless interaction between the front-end and back-end systems. This work enabled streamlined user management, improved access governance, and provided a unified interface for managing identities. Through this project, I helped deliver a flexible, scalable, and efficient IAM solution tailored to the organization’s needs.

Semi-public Organization

IAM Consultant

October 2021 – September 2022

In this role, I used scripting to provide a comprehensive overview of the current IAM environment within a semi-public organization, identifying heavy privileges, unused permissions, orphaned accounts, and other access issues. This analysis offered a “clean slate” view, which served as a foundation for designing a new IAM tool and for establishing an initial role-based access control (RBAC) model. My recommendations for the new IAM solution were based on the organization’s structure and the requirements and expectations of various departments, ensuring that the future system would meet business needs while improving security and governance.

Utility sector organization

IAM Engineer

January 2019 – June 2019

In this role, I supported the migration from an outdated IAM tool to a new central IAM platform within a utility sector organization. My focus was on standardization, ensuring that processes were aligned with out-of-the-box functionality rather than custom development. I assisted in configuring the new system, aligning user provisioning, authentication, and access workflows with standardized templates, and ensuring consistency across the organization. Through this work, I contributed to a smoother migration, improved governance, and a more maintainable and scalable identity and access management environment.
